cake smash SESSIONS

Cake Smash Sessions are a great way to celebrate babies first birthday, they are so much fun and full of all the things babies love, it’s like a hour of messy play!
We start with a few portrait photos of baby without the cake , then bring it in for little ones to squish between their fingers, taste, smack with a wooden spoon and basically enjoy.

Some babies will dig straight in and start eating and smashing, while others may need some encouragement to touch the new textures, but its always fun!
I offer two types of Cake Smash Sessions, the first is called a ‘Simple Smash’ , this is done on a plain white or cream backdrop with no other props or distractions from baby and this includes a plain cake, and these are great for those who love simple and timeless.

However or if you prefer a bit of colour in your cake smash you can go for a ‘Themed Cake Smash’  which can include props and a balloon garland in colours of your choosing, with a matching themed cake. 

Whichever you prefer, all my set ups will be within my style as featured here.

All cakes are custom made by a brilliant local baker with a 5 star hygiene rating, who also caters to most allergies, however if you wish to provide your own please let me know.

After the cake smash we finish up with tub time at the end of the session, a fun way for little one to clean up after they finish with their cake and to grab some more adorable pictures with bubbles and splashing in my mini roll top bath!

I provide everything needed for these sessions, from the cake to the balloons and props right down to the outfits so you really don’t need to worry about anything but bringing your little one for a good time & some gorgeous photos.
